# Set up location automation

> Advance a mount’s stage when its parts reach a chosen location.

<Note>
  This guide is being written. The topics below show what it will cover.
</Note>

## Planned topics

* Choose the stage associated with a primary location.
* Explain that scanning advances the mount according to stage order and does not move it backward.
* Use a cape-at-tannery and antlers-in-freezer example to show how separately stored parts share one mount stage.
* Explain optional Combine Parts and its confirmation before all parts become Whole.
* Explain replacement Whole tags and check client notification consequences.
